Agency aims to collect 75,000 rolls of toilet paper for neighbors in need by National Toilet Paper Day, August 26.

DALLAS/CARROLLTON/ADDISON/FARMERS BRANCH/COPPELL, Texas (August 5, 2024) – Toilet paper is a basic necessity often overlooked. Yet, it is consistently one of the most requested items at the Metrocrest Services Food Pantry. With over 1,400 households served weekly, the demand for this essential item is significant.

Now, through National Toilet Paper Day, Monday, August 26, the agency is asking for support in helping to ensure its Food Pantry shelves stay stocked for the next six months. By donating toilet paper, community members can help ensure the health and hygiene of local families.

“Every roll donated brings us closer to our goal of collecting 75,000 rolls of toilet paper,” said Tracy Eubanks, Chief Executive Officer at Metrocrest Services. “We are grateful for the support of our community as we work to provide essential items to north Texans who are struggling to afford the most basic necessities.”

To culminate the ‘Let’s Roll’ Toilet Paper Drive, a special event will be held on Monday, August 26, at El Rincon in downtown Carrollton from 5 PM to 9 PM, hosted by the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Rotary Club. Restaurant patrons who donate a 12-pack of toilet paper during the event will receive a complimentary house margarita, draft beer, or a small order of chips and queso (limit one free item per person).

Metrocrest Services encourages individuals, businesses, and organizations to participate in the ‘Let’s Roll’ Toilet Paper Drive. To learn how you can get behind this cause, visit metrocrestservices.org/lets-roll-toilet-paper-drive/.
