Come out to enjoy the home tour and support your community! The Civic League Foundation’s 2018 Holiday Home Tour will take place November 9-11 and feature four homes in Farmers Branch that are uniquely decorated for the holidays. Tour hours are 10 am - 4 pm on Friday, November 9th and Saturday, November 10th and 1 pm - 4 pm on Sunday, November 11th.

And there’s more in addition to touring the beautifully appointed homes! A bake sale with scrumptious homemade desserts for purchase will be available at one home. Another home will offer the very popular Pick-A-Box event where you can pay $5 and select a giftwrapped surprise.

Home tour tickets are $20 in advance ($15 for Seniors 65+) and may be purchased from any Civic League member or online at www.thecivicleague.org. Tickets are $25 at the door. (No children under 12)

Drawing tickets for a chance to win a $1,500, $1,000 or $500 MasterCard gift card are also for sale. Drawing tickets are $25 each or three for $60 and include a $20 dining certificate to JAXX Steakhouse Casual Fine Dining in Addison.

Proceeds from the home tour directly fund scholarships and grants. Thanks to the generosity from sponsorships, donations and attendance during the 2017 Holiday Home Tour, The Civic League awarded nearly $100,000 to students and organizations throughout May 2018.

  • Scholarships totaling $50,100 were presented to 21 high school students and 11 college students attending the following schools: Creekview High School, Early College High School, Newman Smith High School, Ranchview High School, R.L. Turner High School, W.T. White High School and various colleges and universities.
  • Civic grants totaling $49,700 were presented to the following 12 nonprofit organizations: Camp Summit, Carrollton-Farmers Branch Retired Personnel, Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County, The Family Place – Metrocrest, Farmers Branch Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation, Farmers Branch Police Department, The Firehouse Theatre, Mary Immaculate School, Metrocrest Services, MOSAIC, WaterTower Theatre, and Woven Health Clinic.

The Civic League Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to community service. Founded in 1963, The Civic League is committed to contributing to the growth and development of a changing community. The all-volunteer group provides college scholarships to students and grants to nonprofit organizations that serve the Metrocrest area. Since its inception, The Civic League has given $2.9 million back to the community, including $1.65 million in scholarships.
