Beloved Baby Brand Donates Over 130,000 Diapers to Charities in Dallas and Houston
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (July 17, 2020) – In response to the coronavirus pandemic’s increasing negative impacts, one of Texas’ most popular new baby brands, Rascal + Friends, is giving back to communities in both Dallas and Houston with a generous diaper donation. The donation came about from a conversation between Rascal + Friends’ CEO and award-winning actors Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. The internationally celebrated baby brand, originally from New Zealand, has donated more than 130,000 diapers between Hope Supply Co. in Dallas and the Houston Diaper Bank.
“This has been an incredibly tough time for families in need, so it was a priority for us to support our friends in Texas, who have welcomed us so warmly,” said Nick Mowbray, CEO of Rascal + Friends. “Blake and Ryan contacted us about donations to charities and hospitals across the United States, so our Texas team suggested these diaper banks in Dallas and Houston that do incredible work in their communities.”
The donations to the diaper banks in Dallas and Houston represent the largest donation Rascal + Friends has made in the United States to support vulnerable families in need.
“As the demand for critical items spikes during the global pandemic, Hope Supply Co. – the largest diaper bank in North Texas – is experiencing an almost 300% increase in requests for diapers,” said Barbara Johnson, CEO of Hope Supply Co. “We could not keep up with demand were it not for generous donations like that from Rascal + Friends. We are so grateful for the support at a difficult time for everyone.”
